Paris Hilton in all of her moronic glory is being sued. And for what you may ask… laziness. Paris?! Who would have thought? One would think National Lampoon and Worldwide Entertainment Group would have known she wasn’t exactly a workaholic when they hired her for the 2006 movie, Pledge This!.
BBC is reporting that they are suing her for $8.3 million, saying her under-promotion of the film led to its failure.
Paris is quoted in legal papers as saying, “Any chance I got, any red carpet, any press, if I was doing something for another project…I would just bring it up – ‘Oh, my new sorority film, it’s going to be sexy, it’s going to be really hot girls – like I really, you know, did my best.’”
Even in writing she can’t speak in complete sentences.
Paris was credited as one of the eight executive producers of Pledge This!. She said, “Not sure what a producer does - getting cool people in the cast.”
Her lawyer, Michael Weinstein is delusional as well. At a pre-trial hearing on Tuesday he said, “She’s the single biggest person on the planet.” Maybe she’s the “single biggest” in terms of ego or delusion-factor.
He’s arguing the film investors demanded her to make promotional appearances on short-notice, and her schedule was already full.
While Paris and her managers were being questioned in the pre-trial hearing, her business manager, Jason Moore, was asked why she objected to appear on “The Tonight Show” to publicize the movie when asked by her fellow producers.
Moore said, “[Jay Leno] doesn’t follow particular guidelines with regard to why we were there and promoting. We would never do Leno.”
After reading about this quote, Jay Leno answered back on Thursday’s “The Tonight Show,” “Well I just want to apologize certainly to Paris Hilton. Do you know how hard it is to do an interview using just one syllable words?”
Court documents show Paris earned over $22 million between 2006 and 2007 for various nonsense.
The trial is scheduled to begin June 8.
