Donald Trump Hires Joan Rivers

May 11, 2009

Last night Joan Rivers won “Celebrity Apprentice” by beating out 15 other competitors, including the runner-up, poker player, Annie Duke. Their competition included: Melissa Rivers; Dennis Rodman; Clint Black, Jesse James; Brande Roderick; Andrew Dice Clay; Brian McKnight; Claudia Jordan; Hershel Walker; Khloe Kardashian; Natalie Gulbis; Scott Hamilton; Tom Green; T-Boz Watkins.

Their final task was to plan a party and silent auction to benefit charity, and advertise for Kodak and Cirque du Soleil. For the win, Donald Trump awarded $250,000 to River’s charity, God’s Love We Deliver, which helps feed people who are homebound due to AIDS.

Throughout the series, Rivers and Duke butted heads and name called. On the finale, Joan said of Annie, “this [Duke] is disgusting,” and “you are a two-faced person.” Although, Duke was semi-disgusting and two-faced.

While preparing for the final event challenge Duke said, “This woman [Rivers] needs to die.”

Even with a lot of people being fired and laid-off recently, about eight million people watched “Celebrity Apprentice” every week according to Nielsen ratings. It's still surprising to see that Joan Rivers is actually a caring person. Joan's turning 76 years old in June.
